"The Hub Boosters" is the website of the Hubbertville Athletic Boosters Club, a non-profit organization which exists to provide service and support to Hubbertville High School athletic teams and events. Though the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) does not apply to us as a non-profit entity, we believe in and support COPPA and are in voluntary compliance with this act.
The Boosters Club pays the annual hosting fee (less than $100.00) to the web hosting company through the sale of local ads on our home page. No individual member or member's business receives any revenue from this site; all ad proceeds go directly to the Boosters Club. Tucker Branch Web donates the services of design, maintenance and weekly updates.
Our web hosting company collects anonymous statistics regarding the number of visitors to our site, the dates and times of the visits, and the operating system and web browser in use at the time of the visits. Absolutely no personally identifiable information is contained in these statistics; they are provided to us only to evaluate our site's popularity and preferred content.
Our Message Board requires registration so that we may refuse participation by persons not affiliated with the Hubbertville Athletic Boosters Club; registration is open only to Boosters Club members, Hub fans, and students over the age of 13. In addition, the Message Board is monitored by one of our members to prohibit any offensive posts.
Our site is appropriate and suitable for young children; it contains no objectionable language or material.
Any email sent to the webmaster is read, replied to, and promptly deleted; no email addresses are retained.
We have no chat rooms, no online games, and we conduct no contests.
We publish game stats, individual stats, and photographs of people in our community involved only in public sporting events and public fund-raising activities. All statistics and photographs are of the same nature as those suitable for publication in a local newspaper. Personal identifiers are never published with photographs except in special circumstances, and then only with the permission of the adult(s) identified.
Any individual with an objection to having their image posted on the website will have it removed promptly, by submitting a request here.
